A JOURNEY THROUGH THE PLACES THAT INSPIRE OUR WINES

The Cecchi family’s properties extend across a mosaic of unique territories, each with its own winemaking identity. In these places, Cecchi expresses its oenological vision, weaving together history, tradition and territory under the dual banner of respect and innovation.

Chianti Classico

Chianti Classico is history, heritage, and a symbol of Tuscan culture, known worldwide also thanks to its emblem: the Black Rooster. Its geographical identity was officially defined in 1716 by Grand Duke Cosimo III de’ Medici, who delimited the areas suited to producing “Chianti wines” in an act considered one of the earliest forms of appellation of origin in the history of wine.

Maremma Toscana

Maremma is a bright and dynamic land, where the sea meets wide, wild hills (and unspoiled natural landscapes). The richness of the soils and the Mediterranean climate favor modern, sunny and intense wines, able to combine freshness and softness.

The Cecchi family arrived here as pioneers in 1996, launching an ambitious enological and agronomic project that helped consolidate Maremma as one of the most significant and fast-evolving areas of Tuscan viticulture. Here wines are born that interpret the versatility and energy of the territory, becoming ambassadors of Morellino di Scansano and Vermentino di Maremma in Italy and around the world, alongside international varieties that find an outstanding home and expression here.

San Gimignano

A unique landscape, marked by famous medieval towers and golden hills, frames the homeland of Vernaccia. Soils rich in sands and minerals and a breezy climate produce vertical, savory whites with a strong identity.

Cecchi interprets this vocation with the Vernaccia di San Gimignano “Torrebona”, a wine that embodies freshness, aromatic precision and a deep bond with the territory’s history.
