The 2023 vintage was characterized by a fairly mild winter with little rainfall and temperatures above the seasonal average. Spring, on the other hand, was marked by cool weather and heavy rainfall, which slowed the growth of the vines. During May, temperatures returned to average levels, and the summer was hot and typically Mediterranean, with sporadic rain. This seasonal pattern ensured a slow and gradual ripening of the grapes, which at harvest were perfectly healthy and exhibited excellent varietal expression.
Mora Rosso Maremma Toscana has an intense ruby red color. The nose is captivating and intense: typical notes of ripe red fruit, such as blueberry and blackberry, blend harmoniously with balsamic undertones. On the palate, it is enveloping and savory. The finish is lingering.
Pairs well with hearty pasta dishes, grilled or roasted red and white meats, game, and medium-aged cheeses.
