The weather conditions of this vintage were marked by relatively early budbreak and flowering in the vineyards; in fact, temperatures typical of the summer months were already recorded as early as May. The first part of the summer saw an acceleration in shoot growth and fruit set, promising good uniformity in the vineyards. In July, the vines slowed their initial growth to protect themselves from the summer heat, awaiting the timely rains of mid-August that allowed for the production of healthy and well-balanced grapes.
Chianti Riserva is a fresh, well-balanced wine with aromatic complexity and structure that allow it to age well for several years.
It pairs best with savory, rich, and flavorful dishes typical of Tuscan and Italian cuisine. Perfect with cold cuts and aged cheeses.
