TerritorioThe Land
Today Cecchi has about 300 hectares of vineyards, spread over four different areas of central Italy: Chianti Classico, San Gimignano, Maremma Toscana and Umbria. The common denominator of these lands is a vocation for the vine, which is also the starting point of Cecchi’s philosophy.
In modern viticulture the starting point is the land; from the sixties up to the present the work in the vineyards has continued without interruption, and the associated buildings have been rebuilt and redesigned as part of the upgrading of the land. Not least in importance is the construction of the new management centre on the Castellina in Chianti premises completed in 2006.

The Environment
Sustainable development is a principle that a modern enterprise cannot afford to neglect. So Cecchi is committed to ensuring that the technology employed in the entire production chain is compatible with protecting the environment.
This takes the form of compliance in connection with atmospheric emissions, waste recycling, a phyto-treatment plant for the regeneration of waste water, targeted use of treatments in the vineyards and much more besides. For Cecchi ISO 14001 certification is part and parcel of life, a vehicle on the road to transparency of operations in environmental matters.
